Galactivation Station + Upfest

Our interactive Galactivation Station last weekend was a success! Sponsored in part by the Arts Council for Long Beach & Beatbox Drums LLC, it took place right after Yogalution on the Bluff and before Art In The Park. The Galactivators invited members of the community to hop on the microphones and sing with us, and also play our musical instruments. We created all the improvised music on the spot! It was completely powered using solar panels. We had guest musicians Gary Thomas and The Avocado Syndicate join us as our featured band. It feels great to provide an area for the people to participate in a form of music therapy, by providing a bonding experience with other community members. We intend on teaching others how to do their own Galactivation Station solar powered interactive music event in the park, and how to apply for grants to fund it, so be sure send us a message if you’re interested! The Galactivators are headed to UPFEST by DESERACT to perform a 2 hour set this weekend. It’s a hot spring takeover at the Sequoia National Park! It’s a techno, house music, and trance type of event. Use the code GALACTIC to get $15 off all types of tickets!
